An unusual perspective

The tango marathon in Divonne-les-bains, called “TangaZard”, has been a regular photo-fest for many photographer. Unfortunately the weather in 2012 was not as good as the years before, so I did not expect to be able to benefit from spectacular weather. Over the course of the weekend I decided to settle for b/w, to make a point of the weather and lighting situation.

On sunday afternoon, however, I got the chance for something unusual: there’s a walkway over the dance floor, which is used by the technicians for lighting when the hall is used for theater or concerts. It’s about 10 meters above the dancers, and allows for a perspective that’s usually impossible to see… [pictures]
