“A conference about communities in tango? Can it get more niche than that? I just want to dance.”

You probably thought that, when or if you heard about Tango Connects Berlin Conference (which happened for the second time already this year).

Well, it happened. And it was great and amazing, and we learned so much, we shared even more, and had a lot of fun. You can see for yourself at

If you only watch three videos, find the one by Joris Erikson — one of the fathers of the European Tango Scene, and inventor of long dance weekends and marathons.

And find the one by Daniele Donzello, whose passion for bringing young people to Tango knows no boundaries. And Darko Dozic who shares many great ideas about the structure and concepts behind Europes largest Tango School.

You can hear my presentation about “Why Facebook is not aligned with our interests anymore and what we could do instead” is on Youtube:

And: All videos from the 2025 conference are now online ? — for free. (and also the 2024 videos)

These talks show how tango reaches far beyond the dance floor, into neuroscience, sociology, art, and community building. From healing through human connection, to reimagining gender narratives, to creating youth-friendly spaces, and even building a cooperative Tangoverse, we explore how tango can transform not only individuals, but entire communities. Our mission is to spark dialogue and inspire action so that tango becomes a living practice of belonging, inclusion, and collective wellbeing.

If you would like to support us in keeping this knowledge open and accessible, we warmly welcome your donation, every contribution makes a difference. Your donation will be used to continue organizing Tango Connects Berlin Conference in the future and making our worldwide tango community thrive
